What makes us the experts?

Our founders – serial entrepreneurs Kimberlee Williams and Jeff Billingsley designed the Newark Business Hub learning community in partnership with Rutgers University, as a 360 initiative for Black and Brown creative entrepreneurs to build essential skills to grow and sustain their businesses.  When Kimberlee and Jeff self-funded their respective start-ups in the 90’s and 2000’s, they faced the same struggles that Black and Brown entrepreneurs face today, scarce funding options, no in-roads to sponsorship, and poor business management skills.

The story and lessons from their  journey inspires the next generation of innovators, social entrepreneurs, and small business owners to this day.  Our founders business success, community building and unwavering dedication to solving social problems through business, has been recognized by the World Economic Forum, TED, NAACP, Rutgers University and Black Enterprise.  We have a firm grip on what’s needed to see these Black and Brown creative entrepreneurs thrive.

Advisors

We are grateful to the diverse group of advisors  who bring their professional expertise and unique perspective to advance our mission to empower 1 million Black and Brown entrepreneurs globally.  Their willingness to be on the leading edge of this diversity, equity and inclusion effort is making a difference in communities across the US and worldwide.
