NBH Digital Marketing Intern – Paid

 

The Job

We are seeking enthusiastic, innovative interns for an intern at Newark Business Hub.  You will be given a variety of opportunities to work within the fields of account management, digital design, outreach/brand ambassadorship, and pr/marketing. You will work directly with leadership and co-lead campaigns and projects.

The Daily

  • Assist in implementation of back end / front end content on Newark Business Hub’s website
  • Research, develop, and implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO)-friendly content strategies
  • Research & develop Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns
  • Write appropriate optimized website content & ad copy
  • Prepare weekly reports for paid search performance & traffic and analyze reports to identify optimization opportunities
  • Implement minor website projects
  • Assist with monitoring website health (uptime, broken links, monitor user-generated content, etc.)
  • Database entry and cleanup for leads & reports in company CRM

The Essentials

  • Detail-oriented, with a knack for aesthetics and design
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal skills
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate
  • Flexible and adaptive
  • Experience using social media
  • Applicants must be 18 years old
  • College credit can be arranged as this is an unpaid position

Technical Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with CRM, content management platforms, analytics tools, and WordPress required
  • Strong graphic design skills a plus; strong familiarity with Adobe Photoshop a plus

Especially in a remote environment, it’s crucial that you’re able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with your supervisor. Attention to detail and strict adherence to the highest journalistic standards and ethics. Well-organized, energetic, independent and responsive to feedback. Strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills. Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college. NBH Podcast Production Intern – Paid

 

The Job

Newark Business Hub Audio is looking for a passionate storyteller to join its podcast editorial team. The intern will dive head-first into the development of new audio series. The ideal candidate will be an aspiring audio producer with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, economic justice, and technology. We are looking for a proactive problem solver who enjoys team

The Daily

  • Audio research, recording and basic editing
  • Participate in editorial and story pitch meetings
  • Send booking requests
  • Scriptwriting
  • Interviewing
  • Equipment setup and management
  • Directing narration
  • Fact checking
  • Prepare background research for hosts
  • Support distribution efforts via social platforms
  • Help the executive producer with administrative support when needed

The Essentials

  • Previous work in radio, television and/or media production is a plus
  • Academic background in journalism or a similar field, with a keen interest in entrepreneurship and Black news
  • Strong interest in the podcasting world
  • Excellent writing skills

Technical Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with ProTools or other audio editing software preferred, but not required.
