Anthony Alvarez, Born and raised in Newark, is a Newark homeowner and Essex County College Adjunct Professor of Photography. He began his training at Arts High School and earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in New York. Trained in traditional and digital media, Anthony has worked with a wide array of clients to identify and produce the content needed for the project at hand. He has established a solid client base, including Fortune 50 companies and International Power Players due to his professionalism, ability to navigate in different spheres and establish trust with clients. His attention and skill in finding and capturing ‘the moment’ has been his trademark and has allowed his photography business to thrive.
A husband and father, his family and community are the foundation he builds from. Volunteer work as Board President of Just One Soccer, a community recreation soccer league serving over 800 children and Vice President of the Forest Hill Community Association, in support of over 1000 homes in the Forest Hill Historic District, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, highlight his commitment to Newark’s growth and prosperity. Exhibiting across the US in venues such as the Fountain Art Fair in New York, Art Basel Miami, and Los Angeles Center for Digital Art. His work is in the collections of the Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, Harper College in Illinois and private collectors.
